On Sunday, April 19th, we will observe Communion, also called the Lord’s Supper, together as church family during our Worship Service.
What is Communion?
Communion, also called the Lord’s Supper, is an ordinance of the Church. An ordinance is an act that expresses our faith. It is a communal journey of remembrance, as together we recall the sacrifice Jesus made for us. It is an opportunity to express our love for God through obedience to Him.
“If you love me, you will keep my commandments.” – John 14:15
Who participates in Communion?
Because Communion expresses our faith, it is for those who are already followers of Christ. If you’re not yet a follower of Christ, we invite you to listen, ask questions, and discover more of the sacrifice Jesus made for you.
How do I prepare for Communion?
Prepare your heart through prayer and confession of sin, ensuring you are in right relationship with Jesus.
“Whoever, therefore, eats the bread and drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty concerning the body and the blood of the Lord. Let each person examine himself, then, and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup.” – 1 Corinthians 11:27-28
